I absolutely love, love wedding invitations! Whenever I get one in the mail from a bride, I savor it on my countertop for at least a couple hours, just glancing at it once in awhile. Then, when I can’t stand it anymore, I grab the thick {always extra postage needed} envelope and carefully open it as not to damage its contents. When I get to the RSVP envelope, I actually say out loud, to myself usually, “Duh, I’m totally going to be there!” and then I realize how corny I am, and move on…
I love paper products so much that I offer invitation assembly, mailing and RSVP tracking as part of my wedding planning services! Sonia and Ian tied the knot this past Saturday at the IU Auditorium and it was absolutely magical. I had the pleasure of assembling their invites and sending them out the door several months ago to their many, eager guests. They designed a beautiful invitation suite with Kristyn at Oliver’s Twist to match their wedding theme perfectly…
{invitation boxes arrive! with about a million glue dots…I’m in heaven}
{beautiful paper pieces wrapped in tissue}
{black card stock was adhered with glue dots to many of the pieces}
{sonia’s dad stamped the Chinese symbol for ‘Happiness’ on perfectly cut vellum sheets of paper. they were then laid on top of the invite before folding it up. i’m trying to dry them here :) very thick ink!}
{pocket style invite holds the information cards}
{can you believe this amazing calligraphy by Christy at Creative in Bloom?!}
{all lined up and ready to go! isn’t it awesome that the ‘red love’ stamp was available? perfect choice if I do say so myself!}
